Caswell grew up in Tulse Hill, South London, surrounded by music. Armed with her first microphone as a toddler, she subsequently taught herself the piano and began to write songs at just ten years old. Drawing from her influences such as Kate Bush, Jeff Buckley and Nina Simone, Caswell has honed a brand of downtempo alternative pop unlike anything else.

Along with great support from BBC Introducing and key online taste makers who cite her as “a viral success” (Clash Magazine) and “London’s newest Superstar” (Wonderland Magazine), she’s accumulated 500k+ Spotify streams, a sync on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ and a feature as a festival highlight on the official Latitude website.

Caswell is currently working on her 2nd EP due for release in spring 2019, which has support in funding from The PRS Foundation’s Women Make Music award. Her symbolic and literal voice is clear and convincing with an emotional maturity beyond her years. This, paired with an undeniable grit and determination, means that Caswell is an artist for the ages just now finding her time.
